there are many ways to give!

Here at KRAN, we value the help of the public in supporting our young people and helping them to thrive. There are many ways to do this, including:

Giving regular donations

Fundraising or organising an event

Becoming a volunteer (please note, at the moment, we only have vacancies for mentors)

Offering in-kind support

Becoming a Member of KRAN

Following us on social media

Spreading the word about the work we do

Changing attitudes by raising awareness about asylum seekers and refugees.

Whatever you do, we will support you. If it’s a sponsored event or another type of fundraiser, we can provide flyers and collection cans (both with QR codes) and t-shirts. We can also promote your event on our social media (and cover the result!).

If it’s an online fundraising initiative, we are registered with Go Fund Me, Just Giving and Benevity Causes.

Our staff are available to guide you - just get in touch. Thank you!

KRAN BIKE Project

We are excited to be collaborating with The Bike Shed Kent to provide renovated secondhand bikes for the refugee and asylum-seeking young people we work with.

Bikes are one of our most frequent requests from the young people: they give them the freedom to travel in a healthy, free and eco-friendly way.

We would love to provide every young refugee or asylum seeker who wants - or needs - a bike with one, also a lock, lights, helmet and cycle safety training.

If you would like to give a bike (pre-loved or new), please contact laura@kran.org.uk

If you would like to donate towards locks, lights, helmets and cycle safety training, please use the Donate button below.

In the words of one our young people: “I am happy to have a bike, it makes me proud. It gives me more freedom, helps me to stay fit and it saves me time. I am looking forward to being an expert cyclist!”

With big and heartfelt thanks to The Bike Shed Kent, also Col’s Kent Bike Tours.

DESTITUTION FUND

KRAN has agreed a strict set of policies, procedures and criteria to ensure that the Destitution Fund is primarily used for those most in need.

An open register is kept of all young people who need to access the fund, for what purpose and the amount, and most funds will be for short-term emergency uses of under £25. Any regular payments agreed in the medium term will require additional evidence of need and will not be paid in cash.

The current immigration process is extremely harsh and makes this group of young people even more vulnerable. For most, we hope the situation will be temporary and KRAN wants to help the young people over this difficult period as best it can. The Destitution Fund is a lifeline to these young people to ensure that they are offered support and a positive future.

‌If you would like to support this particular fund, one-off donations or a monthly amount will be gratefully received using the Donate button on this page. Please Gift Aid wherever possible. Thank you.
